Michelle Collins studied for three years with Hayes Gordon at the Ensemble Studios in Sydney. Since graduating, she has collaborated with acclaimed directors, including Academy Award winner Stephen Daldry, Emmy and BAFTA nominee James Bobbin, and AACTA winners Justin Kurzel and Rachel Perkins.
Her feature film credits include Paramount Pictures’ Dora and the Lost City of Gold, Ocean Pictures’ The Night We Called It a Day, and Lionsgate Films’ Danny Deckchair. Most recent credits include guest roles on The Last Anniversary, NCIS Sydney, CAUGHT*, Wellmania, and Total Control.
A familiar face on Australian TV screens, Michelle’s credits include such iconic series as Packed to the Rafters, All Saints, Love My Way, Home & Away, as well as the mini-series Bond and Peter Allen – Not the Boy Next Door.
Michelle was part of the original Australian cast of Billy Elliot the Musical and toured both Australia and New Zealand in Menopause the Musical, playing the Earth Mother. Other theatre credits include WORKING THE MUSICAL at Glen Street Theatre and the Q Theatre, and Market Forces at the Ensemble Theatre. She also wrote and performed her one-woman show THE LITTLE AUSSIE BATTLEAXE at various venues, including the Sydney Comedy Festival (formerly the Cracker Comedy Festival).
Michelle showcases her versatility in numerous national TV commercials. You can currently catch her riding a Big Blue Monster down the street for Australian Retirement Trust!
