Lani Tupu, an esteemed screen, stage and voice-over artist based in Sydney, Australia, has a distinguished career marked by numerous high-profile roles and achievements. Renowned for his exceptional versatility and depth, Tupu has made significant contributions to both television and film. In January 2024, Tupu completed filming the second season of the Paramount TV drama series The Last King of The Cross And starred as Barrister Howard Benedetti in The Jury Project for Northern Pictures, set to air on SBS later this year. He also recorded Shock Waves, another instalment in Fleur McDonald’s Dave Burrows series, and is preparing to record Tim Ayliffe’s crime thriller The Wrong Man for Simon & Schuster Australia. In January 2023, Tupu graced the stage in the musical La Cage Aux Folles as Edouard Dindon and later embarked on a national tour with Critical Stages Theatre Companys production of Black Sun/Blood Moon. His continuous dedication to the arts, both on stage and screen, underscores his enduring influence and prestige in the entertainment industry. Tupu is best known for his iconic role in the acclaimed sci-fi series Farscape (1999–2003), where he captivated audiences worldwide as Captain Bialar Crais and provided the voice for Pilot. His portrayal in Farscapeand its subsequent miniseries Farscape: The Peacekeeper Wars (2004) has left an indelible mark on the genre, solidifying his status as a beloved figure in science fiction.
