Jane hails from New Zealand and is of Maori descent. Prior to training at New Zealand Drama school, and from a young age, she was a dancer and model and producer & creative director of her events, fashion and theatre production company. Jane arrived in Sydney in 1999 after being cast in Chicago The Musical and has since, worked broadly across the; film, television, fashion and major events industries. In 2001, she produced a multi award winning short film - The Visitor. As a climate change advocate, she followed this with the creation of an Event Sustainability Software company and an aligned consultancy which took her around the world and back spruiking best practice to the Film and Event industries…before it was a thing. Jane’s passion is comedy and loves to tell stories. In that vein, she is currently writing a Novel and a Feature Film - both based on her life experiences. They are filled with a little bit of fact and a lot of imagination, empathy and madness. Jane lives in Wollongong with her husband, two children and her much loved Staffy- Yindi, where she helps run their family construction firm whilst endlessly self testing in the garage. She adores her agents because they haven’t fired her….yet!
