Conan Nguyen O'Connell is a talented actor who thrives both onstage and in front of the camera. His performances purvey his deep attention to detail coupled with a youthful sense of play. After a short stint working in production for film and television as a production assistant, he redirected his focus to acting – preferring the dancefloor over being the bouncer. As a graduate from the Bachelor of Arts (Acting) at the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Conan has studied under leading practitioners including Declan Donnellan (Shakespeare and classical texts), Lyndall Grant (fight choreography and motion capture), and Anthony Brandon Wong (Chubbuck Technique). Alongside his acting work, Conan is a trained musician (piano, guitar, percussion) and is a quick study of languages, including Japanese and French. He is drawn to stories that explore everyday contradictions and give voice to characters often left on the margins.
